Use Our Labs

The ESIF was designed to be a connection point where industry, academia, and government can work together on the most complex and important global energy challenges of our time.

Within the safety of the laboratory, utilities and device manufacturers can evaluate how a new technology will perform under realistic operating conditions. This capability saves industry time, money, and resources, and consulting with NLR experts can help partners optimize designs to meet financial and operational goals.

Partner With Us

ESIF has stewarded collaborations with hundreds of private and public partners—offering fast contracting, on-site engineering and operational support, state-of-the-art test beds, and secure research environments.

Non-NLR parties selected to work on-site at the ESIF are required to enter into a partnering agreement. Please view NLR's Technology Partnership Agreements page for additional information on agreement types.

Every individual using the ESIF must be approved by the U.S. Department of Energy. Funding or citizens from sensitive countries as regarded by the United States might not be eligible.
